  • Hope & Expectations for Students
    • Students will grow stronger and more confident in their faith as we walk them through preparations for Confirmation.
    • To best achieve this:
      • Attend all student sessions.
      • When an absence cannot be avoided the student will use the App or website to watch the videos outside of class and discuss them with a parent or sponsor.
      • Attend Mass weekly at a parish and time that fits your family schedule.

  • Hope & Expectations for Parents & Sponsors
    • As parents we are the first and primary teachers of our children.
      • As the first and primary teacher of your young teenager we expect you will encourage and support them to grow stronger and more confident in their faith as they prepare for confirmation.
    • To assist Parents & Sponsors
      • Install the App or use the Decision Point Website to watch the same videos your child will be watching and discussing in class.
      • Use the "Rediscover Jesus" book we are providing (One for parents and one for the sponsors) to grow in your faith.
        • Matthew Kelly authors both this book and the Decision Point program so many of the topics are the same. This will help you to encourage your young teenager by continuing our class discussions at home.
        • Each week, read two short devotional sections from the book.
Need Class Helpers
  • We have learned from past experience that students are more open to talking and contributing to the class when we break up into smaller groups.  So, we want to continue using small group discussions to promote student learning.
    • We typically do this two or three times during each session.
  • Looking for and greatly need parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and sponsors to help during student sessions to lead small group discussions of some of the questions in the student workbook that follow the videos.
